One of the fun aspects about watching an explainer video is that it usually contains motion graphics that look very appealing. Animaker comes pre-loaded with a lot of exciting effects that will spice up any explainer video. My personal favorite effect is the Animaker popup effect. I personally like this effect because it is constantly used in many professional explainer videos. So get ready to upgrade the look of your explainer video, by learning how to use the Animaker popup effect.
Step 1: Get an Animaker Account
In order to follow this tutorial, you will need to click on the “Try Animaker” button. This button will refer you to the Animaker website. The button contains my affiliate link.

So after clicking the button, you will be sent to the website. You will need to create your Animaker account by clicking the signup button.
Step 2: Set Up Your Scene
After you reach the site, you will need to sign up. When you are finished creating your account, you will click on the big “Get started” button. Once you click it, you will need to select the blank template.
Click on the background icon, and select the light blue color.
You will need to add the coin to this animation. So click on the properties icon, and type coins in the search bar.
Animaker will provide you with several currencies that you can use. For this tutorial, you will need to select the dollar coin.
After selecting the coin, you will need to click on the gear icon that is located on top of the coin. This will pull up the property settings for this coin.
It is important to click on the smiling face because it contains all the perspectives for this coin. For this tutorial, you will need to pick the half side view.
Step 3: The Animaker Popup Effect
Since you have finished setting up your scene, it is now time for you to use the Animaker popup effect. Go to the work space toolbar, and select the popup effect. After you select it, the effect will appear in the timeline as the color orange.
The next step is to copy and paste the coin. So in order to copy the coin, you will need to first select the coin, and press Crtl+c (Windows) or Cmd+c (Mac). This will copy the coin. Now to duplicate the coin, you will need to press Crtl+v (Windows) or Cmd+c (Mac).
After duplicating the coin, you will need to place the second coin on top of the first one. The idea is that you want to create a huge pile of coins.
In order for the Animaker popup effect to work, you will need to select and drag the needle to the right for a few milliseconds.
You will repeat the same process of first duplicating the coin, and then moving the needle to the right until you get seven coins in your timeline.
Now press the play button to preview your animation. As you are watching the video, you will notice Animaker popup effect does truly enhance the look of this coin pile animation.
Step 4: The Wave Effect
You getting pretty good at this this. Alright, now let’s learn how to create the wave effect. You will need to select the new scene button, and then add a color to the background.
After doing this, you will need to click the property icon. In order to create the wave effect, you will need to click the human category, and then scroll down until you find the business man icon.
When you select the icon, you will need to drag it to the left side of the screen.
Then click the grid line button. This will make it easier for you to line up your icons in a straight line.
Now you are ready to use the Animaker popup effect. Go to the toolbar and select the popup effect. You will need to first copy and paste the male icon.
However this time you will need to drag him towards the right side of the screen. After doing this, you will then move the orange bar a few milliseconds to the right. Repeat this process until you have five icons in your timeline.
Now that you are done, it is now time to preview the animation. As you are watching the animation, you will see the popup effect does help you to create a cool wave like effect in your explainer videos.
